With the Anker SOLIX Solarbank Max + 3x BP7000, you get 28 kWh of storage capacity from the start. This substantial energy reserve gives you significantly more room to store surplus solar power generated during the day and use it later. It is particularly well suited to homes with a larger solar installation, higher electricity consumption or a growing number of electrical loads. With support for solar installations up to 10 kWp, an output power of up to 5000 W and smart energy management, this configuration is designed to help you make much more of the energy you generate yourself.
The Solarbank Max provides 7 kWh of storage capacity, while the three included BP7000 Expansion Batteries add another 7 kWh each. This additional capacity is what makes this configuration particularly attractive. On days when your solar panels generate considerably more electricity than your home needs at that moment, there is plenty of battery capacity available to store the surplus. Energy generated and stored during the day can then be used in the evening and at night, extending the hours in which your home can benefit from its own solar power.
With 28 kWh, there is also ample capacity for homes with several major electrical loads. A heat pump, induction hob, electric vehicle and everyday household appliances all require energy, often at times when solar generation is lower. The substantial storage capacity allows you to keep much more of your self-generated energy available for exactly those moments. With this bundle, you are therefore not simply choosing more storage, but greater freedom to use your own energy when it suits your household.
The Solarbank Max supports solar installations up to 10 kWp, making it suitable for combination with larger PV systems. This makes the system particularly attractive for households that generate a substantial amount of solar energy and want to maximise their own use of it.
The integrated hybrid inverter features three independent MPPT inputs. This allows different groups of solar panels to be managed separately, which is particularly useful when panels are installed across multiple roof sections or have different orientations.
Storage capacity determines how much energy you can keep for later, while output power determines how much of that energy can be delivered at a given moment. The Solarbank Max provides up to 5000 W* of output power, allowing multiple electrical appliances to be supplied at the same time.
This is a strong match for the higher energy demand this configuration is designed to support. For example, you can cook on an induction hob while the washing machine is running or a heat pump is drawing power. The available output ensures that stored energy can also be put to effective use during periods of higher household demand.
In the event of a power outage, the Solarbank Max can continue to supply selected appliances via its backup output. Up to 3,500 W of continuous output power is available, helping to keep essentials such as lighting, your refrigerator and internet equipment running as long as sufficient energy remains in the battery.
With 28 kWh of energy storage available, intelligent control of charging and discharging becomes even more valuable. With a compatible Smart Meter, the Solarbank Max monitors solar generation and household electricity consumption. Based on these energy flows, the system can automatically determine when energy should be stored and when it should be used.
Dynamic electricity tariffs can also be incorporated into the energy management strategy. This allows the system to respond to price changes throughout the day and take electricity prices into account alongside your own generation and consumption.
The Anker app provides real-time insight into solar generation, energy storage and consumption. You can monitor the battery status, adjust energy modes and keep track of your energy system. Integration with platforms including Home Assistant is also supported.
The three BP7000 Expansion Batteries connect directly to the Solarbank Max. Thanks to the stackable design, the battery modules can be positioned compactly on top of each other without extensive cabling between the stacked modules. This keeps even a configuration with three expansion batteries neat and well organised.
The BP7000 uses LFP battery cells and is designed for long-term daily use. Anker specifies a lifespan of up to 10,000 charge cycles, while a 100% depth of discharge allows the available battery capacity to be fully utilised.
With an IP66 rating, the battery modules can be installed both indoors and in a suitable outdoor location.
* For output levels above 800 W, we recommend connecting the system to a dedicated circuit in the distribution board that is not shared with other appliances. Have the installation checked or carried out by a qualified electrician.
The base unit is fully plug & play: simply position the system, plug it into a socket and configure it via the app. It can be up and running within minutes.
Want to get the most out of your system? The Solarbank Max Series delivers up to 5,000 W of output power, allowing it to cover a large share of your household electricity demand directly. This helps you use more of the energy you generate yourself and reduces the amount of electricity you need to export to or draw from the grid.
To use this higher output, the system must be connected to a dedicated circuit, ensuring safe and optimal operation. A qualified electrician can easily install or verify this for you.
To use the full 5,000 W output, you need a dedicated circuit with a suitable socket. Here’s what to check. Many modern European homes may already have a suitable circuit available.
Step 1 — Identify or install a dedicated circuit
A dedicated circuit supplies only one appliance or system, making it the safest and most straightforward option for connecting your Solarbank Max.
✓ Potentially suitable dedicated circuits include:
✗ Avoid shared circuits such as:
Also check where the socket connected to the dedicated circuit is located. Suitable locations may include a utility room, garage, attic, storage room or garden building. Avoid unsuitable locations such as bathrooms or anywhere the system could obstruct access or walkways.
Step 2 — Check the circuit capacity
Check that the dedicated circuit has the appropriate circuit breaker and wiring for the required load. Have a qualified electrician verify that the circuit, cabling and protection devices comply with applicable local electrical regulations.
Step 3 — Check the socket
Where permitted for the selected installation method, use a suitable, correctly installed socket. Make sure it is in good condition, with no discolouration, loose connections or visible signs of wear.
Step 4 — Connect the system
Connect the Solarbank Max Series directly to the socket on the dedicated circuit, following Anker’s installation requirements. No extension leads or multi-socket adapters should be used.
Step 5 — Set the output power in the app
The output power is set to 800 W by default. Open the Anker app, go to the system settings and configure the permitted output power for your installation.
Five simple steps, without the need for a complex installation. Get more of your high-demand household appliances running on your own solar energy.
Installation requirements and permitted output power may vary by country. Always follow local electrical regulations and Anker’s installation instructions. We strongly recommend having a qualified electrician verify that the circuit, wiring, protection devices and connection point are suitable before operating the system at higher power levels.
Yes. Combine the Anker SOLIX Solarbank Max with the Anker SOLIX Backup Auto-Switch and your home automatically switches to battery power in the event of a power outage. With whole-home backup, your home remains connected to the backup power supply, with up to 3500 W of backup power available from the Solarbank Max. Add at least one expansion battery and, in combination with the Auto-Switch, this increases to up to 5000 W. Once grid power is restored, the system automatically switches back.
Yes. The Solarbank Max features a modular, expandable design. Start with 7 kWh of storage capacity and add additional battery modules later, expanding the system to a maximum of 42 kWh.
Yes. With an IP66 rating and C5-M corrosion resistance, the Solarbank Max is designed for both indoor and outdoor installation. Its active heating system enables reliable operation at temperatures down to -20°C.
