Anker SOLIX Alternator Charger

The Anker SOLIX Alternator Charger is an accessory that allows you to charge a portable power station on the road via the vehicle’s alternator or starter battery. The concept is straightforward: instead of slow charging through a standard 12V car charger, you can use a much higher charging power of up to 800 W. The charger is bidirectional, meaning it can not only charge your power station but also supply power back to support a vehicle battery when needed.

The Alternator Charger is designed for 12V and 24V systems and works with common battery types, including lead acid variants (FLD, GEL, AGM, Calcium) and LiFePO₄ (LFP). It also includes multiple safety protections, such as reverse polarity, overcurrent, short circuit, and over and undervoltage protection. The Alternator Charger is compatible with the Anker SOLIX C2000 Gen 2, C1000 Gen 2, C1000X and F3000 power stations.

When used with, for example, the Anker SOLIX C2000 Gen 2, this setup is especially practical for travel with a camper van, van or work vehicle. You continue charging while driving, so you arrive with a fully charged energy buffer for your equipment. Under favorable conditions, the C2000 Gen 2 can be charged from 0 to 100% in approximately 3 hours, depending on the vehicle and operating conditions.

An additional benefit is reverse charging: the power station can supply energy back through the Alternator Charger to recharge a weak or depleted starter battery. This is useful if the vehicle battery has been heavily discharged due to long periods of inactivity or additional loads.

Operation is handled via the app, with features such as automatic charging start, mode selection (charging or reverse charging), and remote management. This way, you make better use of your driving time and gain a practical backup option for your vehicle battery.
