BLUETTI B4810 Battery

The BLUETTI B4810 is a 48 V LiFePO₄ battery with 5.12 kWh storage capacity (51.2 V, 100 Ah), designed as a battery module for serious 48 V systems. It is intended for installations where a standard 12 V house battery is no longer sufficient: motorhomes and camper vans with air conditioning or induction cooking, expedition vehicles, boats, off-grid systems or a compact home setup. In all these situations, the B4810 serves as the central battery, often in combination with a power hub such as the BLUETTI RV5.

When should you choose a B4810?
The B4810 is interesting if you want to power more than just 12 V lighting and a fridge. A single battery offers 5.12 kWh of storage and around 5 kW of continuous power, bringing heavier loads such as air conditioning, a boiler, cooktop or power tools within reach, as long as you stay within the specifications. Because you are running at 48 V, currents remain lower than in a comparable 12 V system, cabling stays more manageable and losses are reduced. On top of that, you can build the battery bank in a modular way: you start with one B4810 and later expand with extra modules to reach a total storage capacity of more than 120 kWh.

Power and service life
Inside, the B4810 uses long-life LiFePO₄ cells. The battery is designed for thousands of charge cycles while retaining a large proportion of its original capacity. The recommended charge current is around 50 A, with headroom up to 100 A if the installation is designed for it, so the battery stays within safe limits even at higher charging powers.

Enclosure and use
The enclosure is designed for use in vehicles and technical spaces. The B4810 is dust- and water-resistant to IP65 and features a flame-retardant housing (UL5VA), so it is well protected in a garage, service compartment or motorhome installation. Thanks to the built-in self-heating function, charging remains possible even at lower temperatures: if the battery is too cold and charge current becomes available, it first warms itself up before the actual charging process starts. Discharging is possible over a wider temperature range, so the system remains practical to use in spring and autumn or in colder regions.

Connection with RV5
The B4810 shows its full potential as the heart of a complete 48 V energy system. In the BLUETTI RVSolar 48V Power System, the RV5 Power Hub takes on that role. The B4810 stores all energy as 48 V DC; the RV5 decides what happens with it. Shore power or a generator, solar panels on the roof and the vehicle’s alternator are all used via the RV5 to charge the battery. From the same battery, the RV5 then converts 48 V back to 230 V for wall sockets and to 12 or 24 V for the DC on-board system, so you can run air conditioning, cooktop, fridge, lighting and pumps from one central setup instead of a collection of separate chargers and inverters.

Monitoring and integration
In addition to the 48 V DC cabling, there is also a CAN data connection between the B4810 and the RV5. The BMS in the B4810 continuously reports how much energy is available, what currents are flowing and where the limits are; the RV5 adjusts its charge and discharge strategy accordingly. Via Bluetooth and the app you can keep an eye on voltage, state of charge and temperature yourself, without having to access the battery directly. This way, the B4810 becomes not just a large energy reserve, but the 48 V foundation of a system you can design, expand and control yourself in a clear and structured way.
