Capacity: 5 kWhYou have already invested in solar panels. The next step is making sure more of that energy remains available for use in your home.
The EcoFlow STREAM AC 5000 is a plug-in home battery specifically designed for existing solar panel installations. Without replacing your solar panels or inverter, the system stores surplus solar energy for later use. This keeps more of your own energy available when household consumption increases.
With 5 kWh of storage capacity, the STREAM AC 5000 provides a solid foundation for everyday energy use. At the same time, the system is part of the EcoFlow STREAM ecosystem. This allows you to expand your system later to up to 45 kWh of storage capacity, 9 kW of continuous output power, and three independently managed circuits.
When combined with the EcoFlow Smart Meter, the system gains real-time insight into energy generation, consumption, and grid export. Based on this data, the battery automatically determines when energy should be stored or used. This helps you make better use of your own solar energy while allowing the system to respond intelligently to dynamic electricity tariffs.
The integrated bidirectional inverter supports up to 3,000 W of charging and discharging power. By default, the STREAM AC 5000 supplies up to 800 W through a standard wall outlet. When connected to a dedicated circuit, output power increases to 2,500 W.* This allows a larger share of stored energy to be used directly within the home.
Despite its 5 kWh storage capacity, the STREAM AC 5000 remains remarkably compact. According to EcoFlow, the system requires up to 40% less floor space than many comparable solutions. This makes installation in a utility room, technical room, or attic straightforward.
Through the EcoFlow app, you can see at a glance how much energy is being generated, stored, and consumed. Different energy modes help optimize energy usage automatically, while manual settings remain available for users who want more control. Thanks to Local Mode, the system also remains locally accessible if the internet connection is temporarily unavailable.
* For output levels above 800 W, we recommend connecting the system to a dedicated circuit that is not shared with other appliances. Have this checked or installed by a qualified electrician.
