The Solarbank Max provides 7 kWh of storage capacity, while the three included BP7000 Expansion Batteries add another 7 kWh each. This additional capacity is what makes this configuration particularly attractive. On days when your solar panels generate considerably more electricity than your home needs at that moment, there is plenty of battery capacity available to store the surplus. Energy generated and stored during the day can then be used in the evening and at night, extending the hours in which your home can benefit from its own solar power.
With 28 kWh, there is also ample capacity for homes with several major electrical loads. A heat pump, induction hob, electric vehicle and everyday household appliances all require energy, often at times when solar generation is lower. The substantial storage capacity allows you to keep much more of your self-generated energy available for exactly those moments. With this bundle, you are therefore not simply choosing more storage, but greater freedom to use your own energy when it suits your household.
The Solarbank Max supports solar installations up to 10 kWp, making it suitable for combination with larger PV systems. This makes the system particularly attractive for households that generate a substantial amount of solar energy and want to maximise their own use of it.
The integrated hybrid inverter features three independent MPPT inputs. This allows different groups of solar panels to be managed separately, which is particularly useful when panels are installed across multiple roof sections or have different orientations.
Storage capacity determines how much energy you can keep for later, while output power determines how much of that energy can be delivered at a given moment. The Solarbank Max provides up to 5000 W* of output power, allowing multiple electrical appliances to be supplied at the same time.
This is a strong match for the higher energy demand this configuration is designed to support. For example, you can cook on an induction hob while the washing machine is running or a heat pump is drawing power. The available output ensures that stored energy can also be put to effective use during periods of higher household demand.
In the event of a power outage, the Solarbank Max can continue to supply selected appliances via its backup output. Up to 3,500 W of continuous output power is available, helping to keep essentials such as lighting, your refrigerator and internet equipment running as long as sufficient energy remains in the battery.
With 28 kWh of energy storage available, intelligent control of charging and discharging becomes even more valuable. With a compatible Smart Meter, the Solarbank Max monitors solar generation and household electricity consumption. Based on these energy flows, the system can automatically determine when energy should be stored and when it should be used.
Dynamic electricity tariffs can also be incorporated into the energy management strategy. This allows the system to respond to price changes throughout the day and take electricity prices into account alongside your own generation and consumption.
The Anker app provides real-time insight into solar generation, energy storage and consumption. You can monitor the battery status, adjust energy modes and keep track of your energy system. Integration with platforms including Home Assistant is also supported.
The three BP7000 Expansion Batteries connect directly to the Solarbank Max. Thanks to the stackable design, the battery modules can be positioned compactly on top of each other without extensive cabling between the stacked modules. This keeps even a configuration with three expansion batteries neat and well organised.
The BP7000 uses LFP battery cells and is designed for long-term daily use. Anker specifies a lifespan of up to 10,000 charge cycles, while a 100% depth of discharge allows the available battery capacity to be fully utilised.
With an IP66 rating, the battery modules can be installed both indoors and in a suitable outdoor location.
