Start with 7 kWh and expand all the way up to 42 kWh, allowing the Solarbank Max to grow with your energy needs. With support for up to 10 kWp and 20 solar panels, you have plenty of capacity to generate solar energy, use it directly and store it for later.
And it’s not just the storage capacity that grows. With a hardwired connection, the Solarbank Max delivers up to 3500 W of output power. Add at least one expansion battery and this increases to an impressive 5000 W. This gives you not only more energy storage, but also more power to put that stored energy to use throughout your home. With 7 kWh of storage capacity, you can store a substantial amount of solar energy for the evening, overnight, and other times when your home needs more power. This allows you to use more of the energy you generate yourself, rather than sending it back to the grid.

Add at least one expansion battery and opt for a hardwired connection, and the output increases to an impressive 5000 W. This allows the system to support up to 99% of your household power needs, including high-power appliances such as heat pumps and EV chargers.
Automatic whole-home backup
Even during a power outage, the energy stored in your Solarbank Max remains available. The integrated off-grid output provides up to 3680 W of backup power for connected devices.
Want to extend automatic backup to more of your home? Add the Anker SOLIX Backup Auto-Switch to enable whole-home backup. The Solarbank Max provides up to 3680 W of backup power in this setup. Combine the Auto-Switch with a Solarbank Max and at least one BP7000, and this increases to an impressive 5000 W.
If the grid goes down, the backup system switches to battery power within 10 milliseconds. Once grid power is restored, the system automatically switches back. This keeps your stored energy available when you need it most, without any manual switching.
Up to 20 solar panels, efficiently managed across 3 MPPTs
Thanks to its series-connected design, the Solarbank Max supports configurations with 8 to 20 solar panels across up to three roof orientations. Compared with a traditional parallel installation, this requires less cabling and, according to Anker, can increase installation efficiency by up to 75%.
Smart energy management with Anker PowerOS
With Anker PowerOS, the Solarbank Max automatically optimises charging and discharging based on your energy consumption, weather conditions and electricity prices. When paired with a compatible Smart Meter, the system monitors your home’s energy demand in real time, automatically storing or using available energy at the right time.
The Anker app gives you real-time insight into your entire energy system, allowing you to adjust energy modes and manage your Solarbank Max from one place. To use this higher output, the system must be connected to a dedicated circuit, ensuring safe and optimal operation. A qualified electrician can easily install or verify this for you.
To use the full 5,000 W output, you need a dedicated circuit with a suitable socket. Here’s what to check. Many modern European homes may already have a suitable circuit available.
Step 1 — Identify or install a dedicated circuit
A dedicated circuit supplies only one appliance or system, making it the safest and most straightforward option for connecting your Solarbank Max.
✓ Potentially suitable dedicated circuits include:
- Washing machine
- Tumble dryer
- Garage socket
- EV charger / wallbox circuit
✗ Avoid shared circuits such as:
- Lighting circuits: not designed for this level of power
- Kitchen sockets: typically shared between multiple appliances
- Living room sockets: usually part of a shared circuit
Also check where the socket connected to the dedicated circuit is located. Suitable locations may include a utility room, garage, attic, storage room or garden building. Avoid unsuitable locations such as bathrooms or anywhere the system could obstruct access or walkways.
Step 2 — Check the circuit capacity
Check that the dedicated circuit has the appropriate circuit breaker and wiring for the required load. Have a qualified electrician verify that the circuit, cabling and protection devices comply with applicable local electrical regulations.
Step 3 — Check the socket
Where permitted for the selected installation method, use a suitable, correctly installed socket. Make sure it is in good condition, with no discolouration, loose connections or visible signs of wear.
Step 4 — Connect the system
Connect the Solarbank Max Series directly to the socket on the dedicated circuit, following Anker’s installation requirements. No extension leads or multi-socket adapters should be used.
Step 5 — Set the output power in the app
The output power is set to 800 W by default. Open the Anker app, go to the system settings and configure the permitted output power for your installation.
